When tempted, ask yourself...

Temptations are only situations. My response to those temptations is the reality. I have always asked myself the following questions when I am faced with temptation what would be the purpose or intent?

  • What would I gain?
  • What are you risking?
  • What’s important to you?
  • Take the time to list what you could lose.
  • Is the response worth it?
  • What can you do now to prevent losing.

  3. Temptations, conflict, chaos are inevitable. How I respond is totally up to me, my decision. The question is always, what you gonna do?

  4. There is a correlation between my motives and my actions. The four positions are. right motive/right action...right action/wrong motive...wrong action/right motive...wrong action/wrong motive. A senior citizen is walkingfrom the supermarket carrying two heavy bags of groceries. You are walking through the courtyard of an apartment complex and find a wallet with identification along with $1500. You are court-ordered to pay child support to your ex who is now living with another man. What is your action/motive position?
